// A Gift from You//
As my holiday gift to those of you unwise enough to subscribe or unlucky enough to have stumbled across this blog, I shall forgo the usual navel-gazing and whining about everything that’s wrong in my life. ‘Tis the season to be jolly, and dammit, tonight I am quite jolly indeed.

Despite the sometimes morose nature of this blog, I’m probably one of the luckiest people I know. My parents’ chromosomes did their dance well, and I ended up a fairly smart fella, and have managed a decent amount of success in the corporate world, including long stretches of owning my own successful companies.
The chromosome boogie also delivered a big, strong, athletic body with a not altogether unpleasant mug. Hence, I was fortunate to find and marry an even better-looking wife who still regularly sexes me up after 20 great years of marriage. And finally, our own little chromosome tango has twice yielded beautiful, smart and (shockingly) really nice children, who have somehow managed to maintain that last trait even as they’ve entered the rocky shoals of teenager-dom.
Despite all this luck and these gifts, I somehow created a situation in my life that required me to create this blog as part of my efforts to clean up said mess. And, thanks to all of you, I’ve largely done that (never say never, this is a work in progress).
And so I thank you, my blogosphere and Social Media friends, for the gift you have bestowed on me, that of fellowship, support, encouragement and friendship. You’ll never know how much it’s meant, and how much its allowed me to hold onto. Thank you all, and accept my best wishes for similar good luck and happiness in your life this holiday season and beyond. Cheers!
